Description: Online rate is valid for YHA members only. For those hostellers are not holding YHA membership card, they are welcome to apply on arrival. Membership card may apply at Hostel HKD110 valid for one year. Situated in the New Territories, close to Tai Po, the hostel offers easy access to the Pat Sin Leng Ranges, Pat Sin Leng Nature Trail and Plover Cove Country Park. There is capacity for 72 guests and facilities include rooftop terrace and self-catering kitchen. Scenic Spots / Leisure Activities Recommendation 1. Go to the Tai Mei Tuk Government Water Sports centre nearby where a wide range of water sports courses like windsurfing or canoeing is available. 2. Rent a bicycle and ride along the designated cycle track; or rent a boat and sail leisurely on the Plover Cove. 3. Follow the many local hiking trails nearby of various difficulties. For example the starting point of the Tai Mei Tuk Family Walk is right beside the hostel; the walks along Wang Tsat Ancient Path or over the Pat Sin Leng range are also easily accessible from the hostel. 4. Go fishing in the Plover Cove or the nearby Plover Cove Reservoir. (Note: a permit is required for the latter). 5. Walk along the main dam of the Plover Cove Reservoir locating just a few minutes' walk away from the hostel and enjoy the views across Tolo harbour. 6. Explore the Bride's Pool Nature Trail is convenient. 7. Enjoy a barbeque at the neighbouring waterfront BBQ sites. 8. Admire the panoramic view of Pak Sin Leng Range and the Plover Cover; the beauty of the sunset in evenings is especially charming. Facilities Multi-purpose room, television room, outdoor sitting area, shared kitchen etc. Large-scale public barbeque site and water sports centers available nearby. Food/Catering 1. Dine out in one of the many restaurants offering a verity of meals ranging from delicious Chinese and Southeast Asian food to unexpectedly good Western cuisine. Restaurants are located opposite to Tai Mei Tuk Bus Terminus. 2. Prepare your own meal in the hostel kitchen. Food can be purchased from Tai Po. Barbeque packs and barbeque equipments are sold nearby. Check-in and check-out time Check-in Time Monday to Friday: 16:00 - 23:00 Weekend and Public Holiday Eve: 15:00 - 23:00 Check-out Time Monday to Saturday: 07:00 - 10:00 Sunday and Public Holiday: 07:00 - 13:00 Closing Time at Day (All hostellers must leave the hostel during closing hours,regardless of number of days booked.) Monday to Friday: 10:00 - 16:00 Weekend and Public Holiday Eve: 13:00 - 15:00 Resting Time at Night: 23:00 - 07:00 This hostel cannot accommodate children under 5 years. Check-in times on weekdays and Sunday between 16:00 to 23:00, Saturdays & days before public holidays between 15:00 to 23:00, Check-out times on weekdays between 07:00 to 10:00, Sundays and Public holidays between 07:00 hours to 13:00 hours.
